Car-Rep 2K Headlight Clear combines restoration and protection in one advanced coating system. Adhesion-promoting agents allow the clear coat to be applied directly to correctly prepared polycarbonate headlights, helping restore a clear, glossy appearance while providing a tough protective barrier. Its excellent UV, chemical and scratch resistance makes it ideal for helping maintain restored headlights against ongoing exposure and wear.

Surface Preparation & Application

Clean the headlights and surrounding area thoroughly. Sand the headlight surface first with 400 grit, followed by 600–800 grit. Wipe the prepared surface clean using Car-Rep Degreaser and a lint-free cloth.

Shake the aerosol can thoroughly before use. Spray approximately 15–25cm from the surface using smooth, overlapping strokes. Apply 3 light coats, followed by a wet finishing coat, allowing approximately 5 minutes between coats. For best results, apply at an ambient temperature of 18–25°C. Clear the nozzle after use.

Drying Time

• Touch dry: 30–60 minutes
• Handling: After approximately 16 hours
• Fully cured: Approximately 14 days
• Indoor curing is recommended during the full curing period

Clean Up

Use a suitable Car-Rep general-purpose thinner for clean-up.
