The Car-Rep Anti-Rust Primer 400ml is an alkyd-based anti-corrosion primer designed for rusty metal surfaces and areas susceptible to corrosion. Formulated for direct-to-rust application, it combines quick surface drying with a longer chemical curing process that reacts with oxygen to develop superior anti-corrosion properties. With approximately 1.5m² coverage per can, Car-Rep Anti-Rust Primer provides a durable protective foundation for automotive repairs, metal restoration, fabrication, maintenance and general workshop projects.

Important Recoating Instructions

Car-Rep Anti-Rust Primer has a specific recoating window that must be followed:

• Wet-on-wet: Apply the compatible topcoat within 15 minutes after priming, or
• Fully dry: Allow the primer to cure completely for approximately 7 days before applying the topcoat.

Do not apply the topcoat between these two recoating periods. Always ensure the surface is correctly prepared and follow the manufacturer's application, drying and safety instructions for best results.
