Master Contact Adhesive provides a practical solution for projects where a strong contact bond and flexible application method are required. Before use, mix the adhesive thoroughly and ensure both surfaces are clean, dry and free from oil, dust and other contaminants. Unpainted metals and rubber surfaces should be cleaned with Master Wax & Grease Remover before applying the adhesive.

Apply an even coat to both surfaces, covering at least 80% of each surface. Highly porous materials may require two coats; allow the first coat to tack off before applying the second. Allow the adhesive to dry for approximately 10–15 minutes, or until the surface can be touched without adhesive transfer, before joining the surfaces.

Limitations

  • Do not use on copper or highly reactive metals
  • Do not use on expanded polystyrene foam
  • Not suitable for polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) plastics
  • Not suitable for unbacked PVC, leather or vinyl
  • May cause staining on light-coloured PVC or vinyl materials
