Convoy DSP 5W-30 is a highly advanced, low viscosity, heavy duty, full synthetic, extended drain, ultra high performance diesel (UHPD), OEM Approved engine oil. It is formulated with the highest standard synthetic base oil and advanced additives to ensure protection against wear, corrosion, oil oxidation and sludge.
Convoy DSP 5W-30 is LICENSED by the API (American Petroleum Institute) to meet CK-4 specifications ensuring quality and satisfaction and is OEM Approved for Mercedes Benz where MB 228.52 is required.

APPLICATION
Convoy DSP 5W-30 is primarily designed for use in modern four-stroke, low emission, naturally aspirated and turbocharged, light and heavy duty diesel engines including those with extended drain intervals of up to 100,000+km in accordance with the OEM operating conditions.
Convoy DSP 5W-30 may be used where SAE 5W-30 or SAE 10W-30 grade oils are specified by the manufacturer. It can be used where ACEA E9, JASO DH-2 and API CK-4 or where previous API specifications API CJ-4, API CI-4 Plus, API CI-4 or API CH-4 oils are recommended. It is designed for use in new engines requiring low viscosity, fuel efficient engine oils.
Convoy DSP 5W-30 meets many OEM specifications such as for Mercedes Benz, Renault, Volvo, Mack, MAN, Cummins for heavy duty engine use. It is also suitable for Mercedes Benz light commercial and passenger car diesel engines where MB 228.31 or 228.51 oils are specified in the handbook.
Convoy DSP 5W-30 is suitable for use in the latest Euro IV and Euro V emissions European diesel engines including those that use SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) emission systems along with those fitted with or without DPFs (Diesel Particulate Filters). It is also suitable for use in normal or cooled EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) systems. Some of these engines also use Penrite Penblue as a part of their emission control systems.
VEHICLES AND FUEL TYPES
Convoy DSP 5W-30 is suitable for light & heavy duty commercial vehicles, passenger cars, 4WDs, new construction, mining and agricultural equipment if a full synthetic, low viscosity SAE 5W-30 diesel engine oil is required or specified by the manufacturer. It is NOT recommended for use in motorcycles.
Please note:
- Some trucks and heavy vehicles fitted with DPFs may need to use Convoy DLA, Convoy DHD oils. Please check Penrite Lube Recommendation Guide for correct lubricant.
