Famed as the United States Navy's last propeller driven attack aircraft, the "Skyraiders" served operationally for more than twenty years. They were purposely designed as attack aircraft but were used for early warning pickets, night attack aircraft, and anti-submarine warfare airplanes. The "Skyraider" had incredible speed plus slow cruising ability and this enabled it to support friendly ground forces with pinpoint accuracy. Your Monogram model features a detailed cockpit and pilot with optional open or closed canopy, under wing ordnance, center line fuel tank, bombs, rocket pods, outboard wing tanks and authentic decal markings for two aircraft versions.
