Protect automotive bodywork from stone chips and harsh road conditions with Troton UBS Stone Guard 1Lt. Formulated with synthetic resins, this durable coating creates a strong yet flexible protective layer that helps shield vehicle surfaces from petrol, oil, water and salt. It also offers sound-absorbing and soundproofing properties and contains no asphalt or bitumen. Available in Black, Grey and White, Troton UBS Stone Guard can be overcoated with compatible acrylic coatings and is designed for application using a suitable UBS spray gun, including the A206.

Suitable Substrates

When correctly prepared, Troton UBS Stone Guard offers excellent adhesion to:

• Polyester laminates
• Polyester putties
• Epoxy primers
• 2K acrylic primers
• Steel
• Stainless steel
• Aluminium
• Zinc-coated surfaces
• Wash primers
• Plastic
• Suitable existing coatings

Correct surface preparation is essential for achieving the best results. Surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned, degreased and sanded or abraded as required for the specific substrate. For plastic components, heating the panel to approximately 50°C before application is recommended to help remove silicone contamination from the surface.

Application

Shake thoroughly before use. Apply 2–3 layers, allowing approximately 5–10 minutes between each layer.

• Spray gun nozzle: 4mm
• Pressure: 2–4 bar
• Layer thickness: Approximately 100μm per layer
• Drying time: Approximately 40–60 minutes at 20°C
• Overcoating: Clear coat can be applied approximately 1 hour after the final layer

When applying directly to steel, follow the manufacturer's recommended coating system and preparation procedure. Always refer to the product Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before preparation and application.
